🇪🇸 #JESC24: Contest Week Is Under Way In Madrid

RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster and the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, have commenced the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid. But what is happening when?

Sunday 10th & Monday 11th November

The first rehearsals will take place over these two days, with each delegation allowed 40 minutes on stage and like the Eurovision Song Contest, these will be held behind closed doors. Across the two days, the artists will also be filming their Postcards, which will be done in front of a green screen.

On Sunday, the Opening Ceremony will take place in the evening. Again, like the first rehearsals, this will be held behind closed doors due to the current emergency situation within the country. On Monday, the artists will collaborate on the joint song, which will be performed during the interval.

Tuesday 12th & Wednesday 13th November

The second rehearsals will take place over these two days, with each delegation allowed 30 minutes on stage.

Friday 15th November

At 11:00 CET, the first Dress Rehearsal will take place, while at 18:00 CET, the Jury Final will take place. At 21:00 CET, the online voting will commence, closing at 17:59 CET on November 16th. It’ll reopen for 15 minutes following the final competitive performance in the live broadcast.

Saturday 16th November

At 18:00 CET, the live Final of the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will commence and we will find out who will take victory this year.
