
The EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, has given AVROTROS, the Dutch national broadcaster, a special dispensation in regards to a decision on participation.
Broadcasters have until this Sunday, September 15th to confirm their intention to participate at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel. AVROTROS have been granted an extension to this deadline, with a new date of Friday 1st November. The communication team from AVROTROS, had the following to say:
“With a visit by EBU’s Director of Media Jean Philip De Tender to AVROTROS, the dialogue with the EBU has started. In order to give this constructive dialogue the chance of success, AVROTROS has requested a postponement for the decision on participation. The EBU has granted this postponement until 1 November, for which we are grateful.”
