🇨🇭 #ESC25: ‘Swiss Sundays’ – August 25th

Welcome to our weekly series – ‘Swiss Sundays’. Each week, we will be looking towards the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Switzerland.

This forthcoming FRIDAY, we will discover whether Geneva or Basle will become the host city of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. The Swiss national broadcaster, SRG SSR, have also RECEIVED over 400 song submissions for next year’s Contest.

Following the commencement of song submissions in Sweden on FRIDAY, SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have announced further format changes since the 2024 edition. ALL six songs competing in each heat will be released the following week. Songs that have previously made the final were released in full following the last semi final. The 2025 second chance flash vote (at the end of semi final 5), will only feature the third place entries from each heat – therefore five entries vying for only two places in the final.

Over the border in NORWAY, their Head of Delegation, Stig Karlsen is stepping down after taking a new opportunity to handle communications and media for Norway’s first female astronaut, Jannicke Mikkelsen.
