
NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, will host the 2024 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Bodø, this forthcoming Saturday.
Whether you are new to Eurovision Young Musicians or are a long-term fan, we will be revisiting the most recent editions of the Contest, ahead of this year’s Contest on Saturday evening. Today we are looking back at Cologne 2014.
Sabine Heinrich hosted the Contest at the Cologne Cathedral, following two semi finals held at the Funkhaus Wallrafplatz. Malta and Moldova all made their debut in the semi final, while Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia and Ukraine all withdrew after the 2012 Contest. Hungary, Portugal and Sweden all returned after previously withdrawing from the Contest.
The running order for the final was Moldova, Croatia, Malta, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Poland, The Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic and Norway. Austria took victory, followed by Slovenia in second and Hungary third.
