🇸🇪 #ESC24: Security Measures Cost Almost €2m

Sveriges Radio, the Swedish national broadcaster, have outlined the security measures that were put in place, for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmö.

Sveriges Radio has revealed that 1,500 Police Officers from across Sweden, Denmark and Norway were active during Eurovision week itself – amounting nearly €2m in security measures. Per Engström, the Commanding Officer, stated that this is a relatively low amount of money compared to other similar events. However at the same time, Sveriges Radio states that the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmö has been one of the largest police operations ever in Sweden.
