The EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, have confirmed an independent review of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is now underway.

The EBU has requested an independent review following a number of incidents seen on screen and also behind the scenes. The EBU confirmed this in the following statement:

“To further strengthen the Eurovision Song Contest, we have asked an independent expert to look at ESC 2024 in Malmö to share insights and lessons with the EBU governing bodies to support the continuous improvement of this global event.”
