SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have announced the a new junior version of Melodifestivalen, during the Melodifestivalen 2024 Grand Final last night.

Hello Mello is a new Contest for 13-15 year olds. It is been seen as a new incarnation of Lilia Melodifestivalen, the Contest used to originally select the Swedish Junior Eurovision Song Contest entries. Could Hello Mello see a return of Sweden to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2024?

A video will be required as part of the application process. The Hello Mello team will contact successful applicants if they have made the audition stage. The deadline for applications is Friday 12th April. Applications are welcome from soloists, duos and groups. The full details can be found HERE.
