RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, have confirmed their non-participation at the 2024 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Bodø.

The RTVE press department have confirmed the non-participation of Spain, after they returned for one Contest in 2018. RTVE took part in the first seven Contests between 1988 and 2000, achieving a second place in 1992. RTVE had the following to say:

“Those responsible for Eurovision at RTVE confirm to us that this year it is not planned to attend this Young Musicians contest.”

Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, France, Germany, Norway (host country), Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland are the ten confirmed participating countries to date. Two more countries are participating in the 2024 Contest, according to a RECENT press release from SRF, the Swiss German-language national broadcaster.
