Welcome to our new ‘Top of the Pops’ charts – with a Eurovision twist! On a regular basis, we will bring you a new chart with a Eurovision theme. This week, we are celebrating the Top 25 Scoring Italian Entries Since 1975 ahead of Sanremo 2024. Today, we take a look at positions 20 to 16.

20: 1984 – Alice & Franco Battiato, “I treni di Tozeur”

Alice & Franco Battiato represented Italy at the 1984 Contest in Luxembourg City. Alice & Franco scored 70 points with the song “I treni di Tozeur”, finishing in 5th place.

19: 1985 – Al Bano & Romina Power, “Magic Oh Magic”

Al Bano & Romina Power represented Italy at the 1985 Contest in Gothenburg. Al Bano & Romina scored 78 points with the song “Magic Oh Magic”, finishing in 7th place.

18: 1980 – Alan Sorrenti, “Non so che darei”

Alan Sorrenti represented Italy at the 1980 Contest in The Hague. Alan scored 87 points with the song “Non so che darei”, finishing in 6th place.

17: 1991 – Peppino di Capri, “Comme è ddoce ‘o mare”

Peppino di Capri represented Italy at the 1991 Contest in Rome. Peppino scored 89 points with the song “Comme è ddoce ‘o mare”, finishing in 7th place.

16: 2012 – Nina Zilli, “L’amore è femmina”

Nina Zilli represented Italy at the 2012 Contest in Baku. Nina scored 101 points with the song “L’amore è femmina”, finishing in 9th place.
