
TVR, the Romanian national broadcaster, have confirmed their non-participation at the upcoming 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmö.
Following a vote held by TVR’s Board of Directors, the decision was made that TVR cannot finance Romania’s participation at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmö, Sweden. Out of the thirteen Board members, only five voted in favour of participation. TVR stated that broadcasting the Summer Olympic Games is amongst its financial priorities for 2024.
