20: 1988 – Jump the Gun, “Take Him Home”
Jump the Gun represented Ireland at the 1988 Contest in Dublin. Jump the Gun scored 79 points with the song “Take Him Home”, finishing in 8th place.
19: 1979 – Cathal Dunne, “Happy Man”
Cathal Dunne represented Ireland at the 1979 Contest in Jerusalem. Cathal scored 80 points with the song “Happy Man”, finishing in 5th place.
18: 1978 – Colm C. T. Wilkinson, “Born to Sing”
Colm C. T. Wilkinson represented Ireland at the 1978 Contest in Paris. Colm scored 86 points with the song “Born to Sing”, finishing in 5th place.
17: 1985 – Maria Christian, “Wait Until the Weekend Comes”
Maria Christian represented Ireland at the 1985 Contest in Gothenburg. Maria scored 91 points with the song “Wait Until the Weekend Comes”, finishing in 6th place.
16: 2000 – Eamonn Toal, “Millennium of Love”
Eamonn Toal represented Ireland at the 2000 Contest in Stockholm. Eamonn scored 92 points with the song “Millennium of Love”, finishing in 6th place.
