
ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, have announced a further update on Eesti Laul 2024 – their national selection for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, in Malmo.
ERR have announced 215 songs were submitted for Eesti Laul 2024. Out of the songs submitted, 126 are in English, 88 are in Estonian and 1 in Italian. The 20 selected participants will be announced no later than Wednesday 8th November, while the competing entries will be on announced no later than Friday 8th December.
Karmel Killandi, Head Producer of Eesti Laul, had the following to say:
“The Eesti Laul jury has a particularly responsible role this year, as five songs will receive a direct ticket to the final. We have put together the largest jury in recent years, which has invited the top performers in the field of pop and classical music, radio and TV creators with extensive experience, composers, teachers, journalists and music lovers who have a lot to show in their field”.
