CyBC, the Cypriot national broadcaster, has confirmed that they will not be participating at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice.

Cyprus have participated at the Contest nine times, however they have not participated since 2018. CyBC have stated that poor results and are financial results are the reason why they are not participating in the Contest currently.
