🇬🇧 #UK: Calling All Primary School Teachers!

The BBC, the British national broadcaster, are inviting your 7-11 year-olds to take part in a Eurovision-themed Live Lesson as we get ‘United by Music’ and warm-up for Saturday’s Grand Final.

Inspired by the unique partnership between the UK, Ukraine and host city Liverpool, the 30 minute curriculum-linked programme will celebrate inclusivity and explore the power of music to bring communities together through fun interactive activities.

MOBO award winning musician and composer YolanDa Brown will be helping children create their own Eurovision song and big names from the world of Eurovision will be dropping in to say hello and share their top tips.

Filmed on location at Liverpool’s iconic St. George’s Hall and hosted by Lauren Layfield and Tyler West, this Live Lesson will be available to watch on the BBC Teach PAGE all day on Friday, 12 May 2023 and on CBBC at 11:00. Join the BBC and warm up your pupils voices for Saturday’s Grand Final and celebrate the end of SATs week.

This online class will cover the following curriculum for your pupils: Music, PSHE, Citizenship, English, Oracy, Language and Literacy, Expressive Arts & Health and Wellbeing

How do you get your School involved?

The programme is pre-recorded and will be accompanied by a live website commentary feed for schools on the BBC Teach WEBSITE. The BBC will be updating it with your comments and shout-outs live on the day of publication and broadcast.
