
Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the previous editions of the Contest. Today, we celebrate Gliwice-Silesia 2019.
On Sunday 24th November 2019, the 17th Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place at the Gliwice Arena, in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland. The show was hosted by Ida Nowakowska, Aleksander Sikora and Roksana Węgiel. The Interval Act was provided by Roksana Węgiel and all participating Acts.
Spain returned. They joined Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, North Macedonia (then known as FYR Macedonia), Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands, Ukraine and Wales. Azerbaijan and Israel didn’t return for the 2019 edition.
1st Place: Poland – Viki Gabor, “Superhero”
2nd Place: Kazakhstan – Yerzhan Maksim, “Armanyńnan qalma”
12th Place: Ireland – Anna Kearney, “Banshee”
