Qualification in the Heats of the American Song Contest will see one state qualify by the jury and a further three by the public. Two states will also make the 2022 Semi Finals via Redemption.

The first state to qualify via Redemption is Wyoming. Ryan Charles will represent the state once again, with “New Boot Goofin”. This was revealed during The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier, on NBC.
