Yesterday, news was given that Azerbaijan were HOPING to return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. This morning, ITV, the Azerbaijani national broadcaster, confirmed that they have selected their singer.

Furthermore, the runner up of The Voice Kids of Azerbaijan would go and represent them. Sona Azizova was the lucky runner up and is also the second artist to be selected for the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It is currently unclear how his song will be chosen.
