MRT, the North Macedonian national broadcaster, has announced that they will be returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, in Paris. They join Ireland and Portugal in returning after a one year break, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Italy and Wales are taking another year out due to the pandemic.

There is currently no news on how the entry for North Macedonia will be selected, however an internal selection is the most likely method, as it has been used since 2015.
