
The UEFA 2020 European Championships are here after a postponement of one year – more commonly known as Euro 2020. Each day, we will upload tracks into our Jukebox articles, to accompany the matches played on that day. Today sees two matches – England vs. Germany and Sweden vs. Ukraine.
England (UK) – “Love Will Set You Free”
Engelbert Humperdinck represented the United Kingdom at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan. Engelbert sang “Love Will Set You Free” and finished in 25th place, with a total of 12 points.
Germany – “Johnny Blue”
Lena Valaitis represented Germany at the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland. Lena sang “Johnny Blue” and finished in 2nd place, with a total of 132 points.
Sweden – “Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley”
Herreys represented Sweden at the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. Herreys sang “Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley” and finished in 1st place, with a total of 145 points.
Ukraine – “Shady Lady”
Ani Lorak represented Ukraine at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, Serbia. Ani sang “Shady Lady” and finished in 2nd place, with a total of 230 points.
