EMA 2021 will take place as a one artist show, after Ana Soklic was internally chosen after the cancelled 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. The national selection will take place on Saturday 27th February.

Ana Soklic will perform three songs during the selection, however a further one or two songs may be added to the line-up. The evening will also celebrate sixty years since the first Slovenian entry (as part of Yugoslavia), took to a Eurovision Song Contest stage.
