
Over the course of November and on the lead up to the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate France.
France debuted at the Contest in 2004, in Lillehammer, Norway. Thomas Pontier finished in sixth and last place with her entry “Si on voulait bien”, scoring 78 points.
The most successful entry from Malta was in 2018, when the Contest took place in Minsk, Belarus, Angelina finished in second place with her entry “Jamais sans toi”, scoring 203 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from Albania and Malta.
The most recent French entry was in 2019, when the Contest took place in Gliwice, Poland. Carla finished in fifth place with her entry “Bim bam toi”, scoring 169 points.
This year, France will be represented by Valentina with her song “J’imagine”. Will Valentina take France to their first victory?
