As part of the new rules for the 70th edition of the Sanremo Festival, the twenty four acts had to confirm whether or not they would represent Italy if they won. This is due to Mahmood taking a number of days to decide on representing Italy last year.

It has been confirmed that sixteen of the twenty four acts will go to the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, in Rotterdam, if they were to win. However, we are unaware of the sixteen acts that have made this confirmation.
