Jon Ola Sand has been discussing the possibility of the USA joining the Eurovision Song Contest line-up in the future – the traditionalists in the community might not want to hear the answer!

It will all depend on whether the American Song Contest is a success. Only until the new Contest is a success, would the EBU consider an American debut.

As Jon Ola Sand is stepping down from the role as Executive Supervisor after the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, it’ll be up to his successor, whoever they may be, to decide on the future of this topic.
