Jeux Sans Frontières is returning to screens across Europe – but under the new name of Euro Games. The format is no longer owned by the European Broadcasting Union and will feature Private Broadcasters instead of the Public Broadcasters that took part in the original run.
Canale 5 of Italy will be the Host Broadcaster this year. Alongside Italy, the following countries will be taking part this year:
- Germany
- Greece
- Poland
- Russia
- Spain
Austria and Switzerland featured in the original line-up, however they have since been replaced by Greece and Russia. The French national broadcaster, France Televisions is launching it’s own version under the original title Jeux Sans Frontières.
Filming for the six week run of Euro Games will take place at the Giocarena in Cinecittà World from 2nd September, through to 18th October.
