
We have seen all of this year’s participating countries rehearse once so far this year – but what about the countries thats have participated in the Contest previously?
Switzerland
Switzerland first took part at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, when it was held in Lillehammer, in 2004. They participated in the second Contest, before eventually withdrawing before the 2005 edition.
Switzerland had one result in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They came 16th at the 2004 Contest. Demis Mirarchi placed with his entry “Birichino”.

Bulgaria
Bulgaria first took part at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, when it was held in Bucharest, in 2006. They participated in six Contests – 2007-08, 2011 and 2014-16 before eventually withdrawing before the 2017 edition.
Bulgaria had mixed success in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came at the 2014 Contest, which was held in Marsa, Malta. Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim finished in 2nd place with their entry “Planet of the Children”.
