As the Final of this year’s Eurovision Young Musicians is about to take place in Edinburgh, some positive news has come from Belgium. Telepro, a Belgian publication has stated that RTBF wishes to focus it’s efforts on both the biennial Contest, as well as Eurovision Choir Of The Year – another biennial Contest from the European Broadcasting Union.
Eurovision Young Musicians saw a resurgence this year in Edinburgh, with a near-record participation of 18 countries. Belgium returned after a 12 year absence.
This year, Belgium was represented by Alexandra Cooreman, who played the Violin. Sadly, she failed to make it past the Semi Final stage.
