6th May – 29 Years Ago Today

On this day in 1989, the 34th Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Palais de Beaulieu, Lausanne. Riva took part for Yugoslavia, becoming the only entry to win for her country. Riva finished with a 7 point margin over their nearest competitor, Live Report from the United Kingdom.
