Sweden : Mans Zelmerlöw predicts that Jon Henrik will win Melodifestivalen 2015

Rehearsals are in full swing is Stockholm for the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2015. Moments ago Mans Zelmerlöw gave an interview to SVT where he talks at how taken aback he has been with the success of his song ‘Heroes’.

He currently leads SVT’s own poll on who should win with over 37% of the vote. However when he was asked about his chances of winning on Saturday he said

“I try to delete the entire favourite lable. I’ve gone in there once before and then I fell at the finish line. – I’m just pleased to be in the final”

Should he win he says it would be Magical.

As for the chart success of ‘Heroes’

“I knew that “Heroes” was good, but that it would be this good, and #1 on Spotify. I’ve never been in the top 100 on Spotify before. It’s insane”

He says that there is tough competition in the Melodifestivalen final and tougher than it was in 2007 and 2009.

“At least half of the songs in this final, I can see being the winner.”

He believes that Eric Saade’s number can get a new lease of life now in the final, because it has been some time since he was featured in the opening round. – And Mariette I think is fantastic. Jon Henrik has an amazing charisma on stage.

“Since you do not know what the international juries will say either, I still have Jon Henrik as the favourite to win the final”
