Not a collaboration that we saw coming as we though that Eurovision winner Sandie Shaw had retired but WOW! Sandie Shaw is back with a new song ‘Riot Pictures’.
The ‘Puppet on a String Singer’ who won Eurovision for the UK in Vienna in 1967 is back with a new song that sees her working with the producer responsible for the hugely successful group Massive Attack who have had hits like ‘Unfinished Symphony’ ‘Mezzanine’ and ‘Teardrop’.
‘Riot Pictures’ sees Shaw working with Neil Davidge and the result is a song that is very typical of Massive Attack. It is a down-tempo, hip hop, soul, reggae and electronic infused song with Shaw’s almost melancholic vocals.
A social statement on political activism and the youth of today.
Can we just say that Sandie Shaw is looking and sounding amazing! This deserves to be a chart success!
