Macedonia will select their entry for Eurovision 2015 at the prestigious Skopjefest on November 12th and not the 13th as originally planned.
Why the change of date? Well ‘Liberation Day’ in Macedonia is November 13th so MPT (Macedonia’s National Broadcaster) felt it best to bring Skopjefest a day forward. Eurovision Ireland are jetting into Skopje for the contest – it will be a close call now as it is a day earlier but we will bring you all the news from what potentially will be the first song selected for Eurovision 2015.
MPT have announced that they have received 180 songs through their open selection process and the majority of the songs for the contest will come from this pool. Like other selections across Europe, MPT have also directly invited well-known Macedonian composers to take part in the contest.
A full list of composers and artists will be announced yet there is speculation in the local media that Macedonia’s 2011 Eurovision contestant Vlatko Ilievski could be ready to make a come back.
Who would you like to see represent Macedonia at Eurovision 2015?
