It is coming close to that time again when the MTV EMA Award show rolls into town and tries to rival Eurovision. However this year there are a considerable number of Eurovision singers and national finalists in the running for a coveted ‘Globe’ Trophy.

Adelen is hot property and doesn’t she know it. She may have come runner-up to Margaret Berger at Melodi Grand Prix last year but her song ‘Bombo’ has opened so many doors for her. She is signed to Simon Fuller’s Music Management company and was one of the lucky artists to appear of the official ‘World Cup’ album this year along with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.

She is one of the nominees for best Norwegian Act at the EMA’s.

Across the border her fellow pop prince in waiting – Anton Ewald – will be hoping and ‘Begging’ that he can win Best Swedish Act. Anton has made the final of Melodifestivalen for 2 years in a row now. Will he go for the hat trick next year?

Elena Gheorghe who represented Romania at Eurovision in 2009 is nominated for Best Romanian Act, with 2007 Russian group Serebro in the running for Best Russian Act.
