Sweden – Submissions from Melodifestivalen 2015 are being taken by SVT now. 

From now until the close date of the morning of Tuesday September 16th,songwriters must upload their entries to SVT’s official website

Like in previous years there are 2 entry points for songwriters

• Public competition – For songwriters with no previous published work
• Regular contest – For songwriters with previously published work

After all entries have been submitted then an internal panel at SVT will create a shortlist of songs/artists. SVT announced previously that they want to have 50% contributions from female writers.

We already know our first artist that will compete at Melodifestivalen 2015 – Kalle Johansson.

You know it is Eurovision Open Season when we start to talk Melodifestivalen and you also know there will be some names in there that will raise some eyebrows!
