Back on March 17th of this year the provisional dates were set for Eurovision 2015. They were May 12th, 14th and 16th. Could these be set to be changed?

There is a challenge with the provisional dates in that Semi Final 1 would conflict with the UEFA Champions League Second leg of their Semi Final matches. See HERE.

If you were to bring the contest forward a week from the provisional dates then you would be competing against the UK General election that takes place on May 7th and again Champions League Semi Finals.

We looked at the official ORF website and saw their Eurovision Pages with the requirements for the Venue for 2015 – See Here

However there was a linking article that mentioned the “Preferred Dates” of May 19th, 21st and 23rd of May for the 2 Semi Finals and the Grand Final – See HERE

Provisional dates are just that – provisional. So we have asked the EBU for confirmation and will update you in due course. So if you have booked your flights, hotel and time off work – Tut Tut!
