Turkey – Is Turkey set to return to Eurovision in 2015 following a 2 year absence?

According to the Turkish news site cadde.milliyet this is likely. The site claims that a visit last year from the EBU President Jean-Paul Philippo,t where he met TRT General Director İbrahim Şahin, has seemingly made TRT have a change of heart.

TRT launched Turkvizyon – an international song contest – which saw Azerbaijan win last year. They look to continue the contest and have already began drawing up plans for the 2014 show.

With a huge tv viewing audience, it is desirable to have TRT/Turkey back at Eurovision. There is no official confirmation from TRT as of yet.
