Spain – Yesterday after months of speculation we learnt that Spain will have a National Selection including 5 artists Ruth Lorenzo, Raúl, Jorge González, Brequette and La Dama. Lorenzo has taken to Facebook today to reveal the details of her song for Eurovision 2014 selection.
The song is called “Dancing in the Rain” and she co wrote it with Julian Emery and Jim Irvin.
Julian Emery was part of the team who wrote and produced “Motion in the Ocean” by McFly, which went platinum in the UK and included three No 1 singles “Please, Please”, “Stargirl” and “Transylvania”.
Jim Irvin began as a member of the 80’s UK band “Furniture” but then began writing for the music bible that is “Melody Maker”. He was one of the founding features editors for Mojo Magazine but in the late 90’s he returned to song writing. He has written for Lana Del Rey (“This Is What Makes Us Girls”), David Guetta (“Do Something Love”), Boyzone (“Separate Cars”) and Groove Armada (“From The Rooftops”) to name but a few.
Lorenzo will be performing her song in “Dancing In The Rain” in English.
