Romania – Earlier today we told you of the “Eurovision Countdown” that TVR (Romanian National Broadcaster) has put in place on their Eurovision Website. Further to that an announcement by TVR have released this TV advertisement for their Eurovision 2014 Selection.

The TV advertisement gives the following details

“Romania will participate in Eurovision this year. National Television confirms’s participation in the Contest to be held in May in Copenhagen. The decision was communicated to the European Union Radio and Television, the organizer of the contest. National selection begins on January 15 and the announcement of the finalists will be made in late February.

The stages of the Romanian National Selection Eurovision 2014:

• January 15th to February 14th : registration (submission or sending parts and documents provided by the Regulation on TVR or e-mail address eurovision@tvr.ro);
• February 19th – 20th pre-selection (a jury will hear the songs in this competition);
• February 20th announcement of finalists (up to 12 songs)
• March 1 – National selection – choosing the winning song in one television show”
