Bulgaria – BNT (Bulgarian National Broadcaster) have confirmed that they will not be taking part at Eurovision 2014 despite further considerations.

Moments ago they posted on their official Facebook page the following statement

“Despite the extended time by the EBU, there is no change in the decision to opt-out for Bulgaria in “Eurovision” 2014, taken by the Board of BNT 11/22/2013. Thus the decision becomes final. As mentioned several times subsequently, the decision is to opt out just for 2014 but not future periods thereafter. # Eurovision”

It had been hoped that an independent sponsor could be found for the Broadcaster but this is now longer an option according to BNT.
