The first stage of Belgium’s search for their Eurovision 2014 representative was completed today.

The judges were Bart Peeters, DJ Jef Martens and Piet Goddaer (singer/producer) and they presided over the applicants for the first semi final of Eurosong 2014.

The semi-finals will take place on 23 February, March 2nd and 9th with the Grand Final on March 16th.

Belgium Media was awash today with speculation on artists that have entered the contest. There were a considerable number of Reality TV Shows singers in the rumour mill.

Firstly there were former Belgian Eurosong performers Nelson Morais (2008) and Petra (1993 & 1999).

Next mentioned was Udo Mechels (Belgian X-Factor Winner 2005)

Then a newly created band called 3M8S consisting of Belgian Idol 2007 winner Dean Delannoit and Dennis De Neyer (Idool 2011 finalist)

Eurovision Winner Ruslana was supposed to attend the castings today as a judge but as we had reported she is staying in Kyiv at present due to the current political situation.
