YLE (Finnish Broadcaster) has this year received 420 entries for their National Eurovision Selection for Eurovision 2014. The broadcaster will be using again the format of “Uden Musiikin Kilpailu” to select their entry for Copenhagen.
420 submissions is only 50 less than last year, which shows the strong interest for Eurovision in the country. An internal appointed jury at YLE will select 12 songs that will compete to represent Finland at Eurovision 2014. The judges for the live shows will be announced on November 4th.
The live shows of “Uden Musiikin Kilpailu” will begin on December 28th – expect a festive set of shows.

We are hoping that 2014 may see a return to the Finnish selection of the young rock band Arion – who made the final in Finland’s National selection in 2013. We love a slice of Finnish Rock!
