Adrian Lulgjuraj and Bledar Sejko had their first rehearsal of their Eurovision 2013 song Identitet (Identity).
This is a full on rock song sung in Albanian. One singer, looking a bit like Professor Snape gives a strong performance of the song with the stereotypical long-haired head moshing featuring too. Adrian and Bledar both sing and play guitar and are backed up by 4 other band members. The staging backdrop is a dramatic yellow and red colour. The band members are all in dark clothing and jeans.
They “Hey Hey” at the beginning of the song sets up the feel of this song. The stage is filled with dry ice on the floor as well as shooting columns. It is very ethnic with a strong drum beat. There is a long guitar solo about 2 thirds of the way through when Bledar walks up the catwalk to the audience and pyros come out of his guitar which is highly dramatic. As the song finishes there are some sharp strobe lighting effects that lift the song to another level.
The performance is great and I think it looks fab on stage. It is difficult to call the qualifiers in this semi final.

This looks like it’s going into the final. A competent performance from Albania and am sure this will make the final á la Eldrine in the rock song stakes.
