The annual London Eurovision Pre Contest show takes place in a just a few hours. The extremely popular event is run by our colleagues at EscXtra and is growing each year. This year they boast a line up of present and past Eurovision stars for the audience at the famous “Shadow Lounge” in London.
8 of this years contestants will be performing plus several previous contestants including a winner. The acts from Eurovision 2013 are
- Austria – Shine sung by Natalia Kelly
- Denmark – Only Teardrops sung by Emmelie de Forest
- Finland – Marry Me sung by Krista Siegfrids
- Greece – Alcohol Is Free – sung by Koza Mostra featuring Agathon Iakovidis
- Latvia – Here We Go sung by PeR
- Malta – Tomorrow sung by Gianluca
- Romania – It’s My Life sung by Cezar
- San Marino – Crisalide (Vola) sung by Valentina Monetta
What we do know is that San Marino’s Valentina Monetta will be performing the Englisg version of “Crisalide” or “Chrysalis – You’ll be Flying”

There will be a lot of attention on Emmelie de Forest from Denmark who will be performing. She was not present at the Eurovision In Concert show in Amsterdam, so all eyes will be on her as she performs live. She is currently the Betting Odds favorite to win Eurvovision 2013.
Another act to keep a close eye on will be Greece – as Agathon Iakovidis did not have kind words to say about the Dutch organisers of the Eurovision In Concert Show recently on Star Channel in Greece, when he was commenting on the minor technical difficulties they experienced on their first performance of “Alcohol is Free”.
The London stage will be graced by previous Eurovision singers. John Allison, who represented the United Kingdom in 1961 with the song “Are You Sure?” which took the UK to second in the contest and Sarbel, who represented Greece in 2007 with the song “Yassou Maria” which finished in seventh place.
If that was enough, Eurovision Winner 2011 Nikki Jamal, who won for Azerbaijan with her singing partner Ell and the song “Running Scared” will be performing. Nikki lives in London with her husband and family and will be singing songs from her solo album that she has completed.

The Hosts for the evening will be Nicki French, who represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision 2000 contest with “Don’t Play That Song Again”, and Paddy O’Connell who was the BBC Semi-Final commentator from 2004 to 2010.
It is a sell out event and we wish our friends at EscXtra the best of luck tonight!

Are they not streaming it live on the net like last year? I enjoyed watching it. Used to drink in the Shadow Lounge when I lived in London

Yes, I watched it live last year and it was fun but there seems to be no coverage this year, Pity.
