The draw has just taken place for the Semi Finals running order for Eurovision 2013 in Malmo, Sweden.
Hosted by Pernilla Mansson Colt and supervised by Martin Osterdahl (SVT Executive Producer) and Jon Ola Sand (EBU -Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest ) the draw took place in the beautiful Old City Hall in Malmo
Step 1 – Was to draw which Semi Final the Big 5 and the Host Sweden would be voting in. The results were as follows
First Semi Final

Step 2 – Was to determine what Semi Final each country would be performing in and which half of their semi final they will be allocated to. As we advised you the exact running order will be determined after all songs are submitted to the EBU

16 Countries will compete in Semi Final 1 and 17 will compete in Semi Final 2 with The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Sweden automatically qualifying for the Grand Final.
We will have an analysis of the running order later to see if any pre contest predictions can be made.

Yup, really good draw. The right mix of the Big 5, Sweden, one less country in our semi and probably only 3 dead certs for the final (Russia, Ukraine and Serbia). Now all we need now is a half decent signer/song……

Good points Sean. Agree it is good to have UK and Sweden and Denmark, Netherlands, Austria, Estonia and Belgium voting on our Semi final as we tend to get good points from them – well recently. Also the second half of the draw is good too. Fingers crossed
