UPDATE – Late last night we showed you the finishing touches being made to the Tolmachevy Twins song for Eurovision.
Russian National TV have announced that the song will be called “Shine” and is written by Russia’s Philip Kirkorov, Greek Dimitri Kontopoulos with lyrics by John Ballard, Ralph Charlie and Gerard James Borg.
You will know Kirkorov and Kontopoulos but what of the lyricists?
- John Ballard – Who has worked with Ace of Base And Jackie Ryan to name a few artists – See HERE
- Ralph Charlie – A young artists and song writer that worked with Ballard on Farid Mammadov’s “Hold Me” – See HERE
- Gerard James Borg – One of Malta’s most successful song writers having composed 7 of their entries including Ira Losco’s “7th Wonder”. He was also one of the composers of Joanna’s “Ma Liberte” in the French National Selection this year. See HERE
Eurovision.TV have said that they will premier the Russian Entry tomorrow along with that of Austria’s – How politically ironic is that!
Will a successful song writing team turn the tide of public perception?
