
Bangkok has been announced as holding the inaugural Eurovision Asia Song Contest, although this news has yet to be confirmed by the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union or Voxovation (the license holders).
Bangkok is due to hold the inaugural Contest on Saturday 14th November. An official website had launched overnight, however it is now offline – EurovisionAsia.com. Nine countries have been announced as participating and each will hold a national selection to determine their participants. The nine countries are:
- 🇧🇩 Bangladesh
- 🇧🇹 Bhutan
- 🇰🇭 Cambodia
- 🇱🇦 Laos
- 🇲🇾 Malaysia
- 🇳🇵 Nepal
- 🇵🇭 Philippines
- 🇹🇭 Thailand
- 🇻🇳 Vietnam
