As the lights dimmed in TVR Studio 3 in Bucharest, Romania officially marked its triumphant return to the Eurovision stage. After a two-year hiatus, the nation has found its voice for Vienna 2026.
In a high-stakes final held on March 4, twelve acts battled for the honor of representing the “Land of Choice.” Following a rigorous selection process that began with over 100 submissions and a three-day “Open Workshop” audition phase, the Romanian broadcaster TVR opted for a 100% professional jury vote to decide the outcome.
The night was a showcase of the diverse Romanian music scene, featuring everything from the infectious energy of Emy Alupei to the return of Eurovision veteran WRS.
The professional jury, which included industry heavyweights like Andreea Bălan, Andrei Tudor, and producer Cristian Tarcea (Monoir), delivered the final verdict.

Romania has spoken, and the path to Vienna is now set. Will this be the entry to bring the Eurovision trophy back to Romanian soil for the first time in our history? The journey starts now.
Congratulations to our winner!
