
Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s February 10th:
Saturday 10th February 1973
On this day in 1973, the 13th edition of Melodifestivalen took place in Stockholm. Malta took victory with “Sommaren som aldrig säger nej” and 37 points. At the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg City, The Nova finished 5th, with 94 points.
