Voxovation, the international rights holder for the Eurovision Song Contest, have confirmed preparations are underway for the format to be launched in Asia.
Speaking to ESC Insight’s new podcast, Eurovision Uncovered, Christer Björkman of Voxovation and former Eurovision Song Contest Producer, had the following to say:
“The most intensive preparations are in Asia. They are ongoing and very complex. Nothing has been decided yet – nothing has been confirmed. We are not at the final stage yet. I hope it will happen soon.
My dream is for competitions in Europe, Asia, South America and North America to actually take place, and for the five best competitors from each continent to meet in the world final.”
