ARD, the German national broadcaster, have revealed when ‘Eurovision Song Contest – Das Deutsche Finale 2026‘ will take place – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
‘Eurovision Song Contest – Das Deutsche Finale 2026‘ will be held on Saturday 28th February, from 20:15 CET on Das Erste. SWR, the broadcaster responsible for the German selection process, has yet to reveal the format, although the selection process has already begun.
Following SWR taking over from NDR, Tina Sikorski has also been confirmed as the new Head of Delegation. Following her appointment, Tina Sikorski had the following to say:
“Music is a language we all understand. For 70 years, the ESC has shown us how powerful and magical this connection can be, but also how controversially issues are repeatedly debated. I am delighted that we are carrying on the musical spark with ARD. At the German ESC final, we will see fantastic performances and find the perfect act that will make Germany shine at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.”
