#BIRTHDAY: Natalia Gordienko from Moldova is 38 today

It’s another one of those birthdays of someone who can’t get enough of the drug that is Eurovision. They try it once, and just have to come back. It is addictive, a bit like the title of the song today.

You may remember today’s birthday girl Natalia Gordienko when she first graced the stage in 2006 with a loose collection of others. She was the one wearing the fewest clothes. Fast forward to 2021, and she found herself picked again. This time through an internal selection, and unveiled as Moldova’s singer at a party in another country. Confused? Anyway, she sang about a substance that could be addictive. We were pleased she didn’t completely recreate her preview video, as eating someone’s face might have raised a few eyebrows. Instead, she spawned a number of memes and some groundbreaking Youtube videos. She finished 13th.
