RTÉ, the Irish national broadcaster, have begun the 2026 Dancing With the Stars celebrity reveals today.
The former Irish Eurovision representative, Niamh Kavanagh, was the first celebrity to be revealed earlier today. Niamh took victory at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest with “In Your Eyes”, before returning as a finalist in 2010 with “It’s For You”. Season 9 of Dancing With the Stars commences on Sunday 4th January. Upon her reveal, Niamh Kavanagh had the following to say:
“I am beside myself but trying to act all cool – like it’s no bother! It would be a lie to say I’m not nervous, stepping into the unknown publicly brings its own nerves. However, what I mostly am is excited, I don’t have to be good at this but I’ll work hard to get as good as I can!”
